Biodegradable film

Breaks down 100% in the ground. The BI-OPL film degrades under the influence of light, oxygen, temperature and the micro-organisms in the soil.

The basic raw material for this type of film is co-polyester with poly-lactic acid (PLA). Compared to foil based on starch, its major advantages are that it is more stable and degrades more slowly. After harvesting, the film together with the crop residue can simply be ploughed into the soil or loosened using a rotary cultivator. The film can be ploughed under or milled with the crop residues and breaks down 100%.
