Bas is one of the project leaders at the Delphy Improvement Centre where he focuses on energy efficiency and crop health. He has experience in several horticultural crops including vegetables and ornamentals. After receiving his Master of Science degree in Plant Sciences at Wageningen University & Research, he worked as a crop health specialist. The experience and knowledge he has gained during this period are now applied in energy efficiency research.

In this session, we will explore the latest research on LED lighting technology and its impact on tomato cultivation. WUR will present groundbreaking studies on transpiration and Delphy into research focused on light spectrum optimization for plant growth. We’ll also be joined by an LED lighting company to discuss how their innovations are transforming tomato farming, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

The event will begin with a welcome by GreenTech and short presentations from the two winners of the Innovation & Concepts Award.
