At the first day of GreenTech Amsterdam, GreenTech Americas has been launched. The spin-off will take place from 24-26 March 2020 in Querétaro, Mexico. This is a logical next step, as Mexico is a major agricultural producer, the number of hectares under protected agriculture is growing exponentially and it is the gateway to US, Canada and South America.>

The first day of GreenTech Amsterdam was already a success due to the amount of visitors, the high quality of exhibitors, knowledge sessions and innovations. Remarkable is the growth of interest in the exhibition of visitors coming from the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Why GreenTech Americas?
Mariska Dreschler, Director Horticulture GreenTech: "We believe that with GreenTech Amsterdam as a global platform we should reach out to the emerging markets in the world. We need a regional platform in the western part of the world to meet the regional needs of the growers. By organizing GreenTech Americas we are able to address the specific needs of the growers and suppliers from this emerging region. Looking at e.g. the specific climates, the producers and consumer needs. We believe the GreenTech Americas is complementing the portfolio of the domain Horticulture strategically."
