GreenTech talks water management in horticulture

Author: GreenTech
Thursday, 14 December 2017

As of 1 January 2018, all greenhouse horticulture companies must comply with a new purification directive for residual water. The European Directive for water requires that emissions of nutrients and crop protection agents must be reduced. In 2018, effluent must be reduced by a minimum content of 95% of crop protection agents. Companies have until 2027 to reduce fertilizer emissions, in phases, to near zero. Today we are talking to Jerre de Blok, project manager Ridder HortiMax, Ton van Remmen, Director of Remmen UV Techniek and Theo Cuijpers of the District Waterboard, Schieland and Krimpenerwaard.
