4XROBOTS Returns to GreenTech Showcasing New Operating Solutions

With robots now operating in greenhouses across Europe and North America, 4XROBOTS returns to GreenTech to showcase how their collaborative robot is already making and impact for growers and give visitors a glimpse of what comes next.

A lot has happened since 4XROBOTS last exhibited at GreenTech Amsterdam.
During the past year, the Danish robotics company has moved from partnerships and pilot projects to robots operating in greenhouses across Europe and North America. Along the way, the team has spent countless hours working alongside growers to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and workflows that automation must solve and support in daily production.
One of the latest projects has introduced 4XROBOTS to a new segment of greenhouse production. In a North American greenhouse working with a moving gutter system, four collaborative robots are now operating as an integrated part of the daily production flow. At GreenTech, visitors will be able to explore the project through photos and videos from the installation and learn more about the experiences gained from the application.
Maria Gravesen, Head of Marketing at 4XROBOTS, is excited about the possibility to showcase projects that are already making an impact by creating value in greenhouse productions.
"A lot has happened since last year's GreenTech. Our robots are now operating in daily production at greenhouses across Europe and North America, which means we are coming to Amsterdam with practical experience and proven applications from real production environments," says Maria Gravesen.
"We are proud to showcase projects that are already creating value for growers. The experience we have gained over the past year has reinforced something important for us: automation only succeeds when it fits into existing workflows and helps solve practical challenges in daily production."
Robotics are less complicated than you might think
Visitors will be able to experience two different robot setups that demonstrate the flexibility of 4XRobots’ collaborative four-armed delta robot in practice. One setup showcases and demonstrates a transplanting application, while the other is an interactive demonstration designed to make robotics more accessible and easier to understand.
Using camera-based technology and different tools, the collaborative robot can quickly switch between tasks. As part of the demonstration, visitors will even be able to challenge the robot in a game of dice. While being entertained, the real purpose is to demonstrate how precisely the robot identifies its surroundings and how easily the platform can adapt to different applications.
"Robotics can sometimes seem more complicated than it really is. That is why we have designed our stand so visitors can not only see our robot in action but also interact with it – because it is collaborative," says Maria Gravesen.
"We want to show that automation does not have to be complicated. Growers need solutions that fit into their existing production and adapt to changing workflows and production needs. That is why we are bringing both real-world production applications and interactive demonstrations to GreenTech. We hope visitors leave with a better understanding of how collaborative robotics can support greenhouse production and fit naturally into modern greenhouse environments."
Meet the 4XROBOTS Team at GreenTech
The 4XROBOTS team will be ready to welcome existing partners, visitors and growers at stand 02.219 who would like to learn more about the possibilities of collaborative automation.
Whether visitors want to discuss specific automation projects, technical solutions, implementation strategies or future opportunities, they will have the chance to speak directly with the people who develop, implement and work with the technology every day.
Visitors can meet CEO Steffen Enemark, Head of Market Development & Insight Nick Chambers, co-founder Michael Møller Nielsen, Head of R&D Alexander Larsen and Head of Marketing Maria Gravesen.
In addition, several 4XROBOTS units will be operating at partner stands throughout the exhibition, and the company will also participate in the GreenTech Robot Challenge.
