GreenTech North America brings industry together around innovation, knowledge exchange and the future of CEA

GreenTech North America will welcome the North American horticulture industry to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on 23 and 24 September, bringing together growers, breeders, suppliers, researchers and technology experts to address some of the sector's most pressing challenges and opportunities. As controlled environment agriculture (CEA) continues to evolve in response to rising costs, labour shortages, sustainability targets and rapid technological development, the event aims to provide a dedicated platform for innovation, collaboration and practical knowledge exchange.

The two-day event combines an exhibition and conference program designed specifically for the North American horticulture sector. Key themes include energy efficiency, labour and talent development, AI and digital cultivation, lighting strategies, hydroponic production, and the future growth of greenhouse horticulture across the region. Through expert-led sessions, real-world case studies and networking opportunities, attendees will gain practical insights that can help improve efficiency, profitability and sustainability within their businesses.

Mariska Dreschler, Director Horticulture at GreenTech Global, highlights the importance of creating a regional platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing: "We launched GreenTech North America to meet the growing demand for a dedicated platform tailored to the region. Collaboration within the horticulture sector is essential. Through this two-day event, we aim to accelerate efficient and sustainable food and flower production across North America by bringing together innovative market leaders and leading experts in high-tech crop production. Philadelphia is the ideal host city thanks to its central location and excellent accessibility, and we warmly welcome the industry to discover the latest innovations and connect with peers from across the sector."

A place to learn, connect and discover new solutions

For growers, the value of GreenTech North America extends beyond discovering new products and technologies. The event offers a unique opportunity to connect with peers, learn from industry experts and gain insight into the trends shaping the future of protected cultivation.

According to Octavio Perez of Nature Fresh Farms, the event addresses a growing need within the industry for practical learning and collaboration: "GreenTech North America is a must-attend event because it is a great place to discover innovation, research and new technologies while connecting with experts from across the greenhouse industry. I highly recommend this event to anyone who wants to stay informed about the latest developments in greenhouse growing. It brings together everything from scientific research and new growing concepts to practical commercial technologies that can be applied directly within our operations. It is a valuable opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, build relationships and gain insight into where our industry is heading."

By bringing together commercial growers, technology providers, researchers and industry organizations under one roof, GreenTech North America aims to strengthen collaboration across the horticulture value chain and support the continued growth of sustainable, high-tech food and flower production throughout North America.
