AIPH International grower of the year awards 2027 to take place at GreenTech Amsterdam
AIPHThe world's leading ornamental growers will take centre stage at the first day of GreenTech Amsterdam on Tuesday 15 June 2027, as the AIPH International Grower of the Year (IGOTY) Awards bring their celebration of horticultural excellence to a new international setting.
The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) has announced that the prestigious
Awards will be held alongside one of the industry's leading international horticultural trade shows,
GreenTech Amsterdam, bringing together outstanding growers, innovators, and industry leaders for
a celebration of achievement across the global ornamental horticulture sector.
With the venue and date now confirmed, AIPH has also extended the entry deadline to 21
February 2027, offering growers around the world more time to put their businesses in the
international spotlight and compete for the coveted Gold Rose.
Previous Gold Rose winners include Hillier Nurseries (UK), La Gaitana Farms (Colombia),
Brookdale Treeland Nurseries (Canada) and Anthura (Netherlands), demonstrating the international
reach of the Awards and the diversity of businesses setting standards for excellence in ornamental
horticulture.
Tim Briercliffe, Secretary General of AIPH, said: " The International Grower of the Year Awards are a truly global celebration of horticultural excellence, and we're delighted to bring them to
GreenTech Amsterdam.Hosting the Awards alongside international horticultural events gives us the opportunity to engage with different audiences, build new connections and share the achievements of outstanding growers. GreenTech's focus on innovation and technology makes it an exciting setting to celebrate the businesses and people shaping the future of ornamental horticulture.”
Mariska Dreschler, Director Horticulture – GreenTech Global, said: “We are incredibly proud that AIPH has chosen GreenTech Amsterdam to host the International Grower of the Year Awards.
Bringing IGOTY and GreenTech together creates wonderful momentum to celebrate the global
ornamental horticulture industry. By connecting the world’s best growers, innovators and industry
leaders, we can share knowledge, innovate and accelerate. We look forward to working together
with AIPH and its members to create a memorable event that inspires our international
community.”

More time for growers to showcase their achievement
With entries now open until 21 February 2027, AIPH is encouraging ornamental production
businesses of all sizes to take advantage of the extended deadline and put themselves forward.
Entering the IGOTY Awards offers growers an opportunity to reflect on their achievements,
benchmark their performance against international industry standards, and gain recognition for the
work taking place within their businesses.
Finalists and winners benefit from international promotion through AIPH, Founding Partner
FloraCulture International (FCI), and supporting media partners. This exposure can help strengthen
business reputations, create new connections, and highlight the people and practices behind
successful horticultural production.
The Awards recognise excellence across three production categories:
Finished Plants & Trees – Growers producing plants and trees ready for final sale.
Young Plants – Producers of cuttings, plugs, liners, seedlings, and other young plant
material.
Cut Flowers & Bulbs – Producers of cut flowers, foliage, and bulbs.
Entrants can also put themselves forward for the Sustainability Award, recognising outstanding
achievements in sustainable horticultural production, including responsible resource management,
environmental improvements, and social responsibility.
The Young International Grower of the Year category will also recognise emerging talent
within the ornamental horticulture industry, celebrating the next generation of growers and their
contribution to the sector's future. Candidates are young professionals participating in the Pro
Manager Mastercourse organised by Jungle Talks.
From among the winners of the three production categories, one exceptional business will be named
AIPH International Grower of the Year 2027 and presented with the prestigious Gold Rose, the
industry's highest international accolade.

International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH)
Since 1948, AIPH has united horticultural producers in an international community that thrives to
this day. Much has changed in that time. Technologies advanced, cities rose from the ground, and we
have become more connected than ever. As a result, our essential bond with nature has been
weakened. AIPH strives to reignite and uphold an appreciation of plants that we believe is a basic
human instinct. We support the work of grower associations globally. Together, we champion a
prosperous industry, growing plants that enhance lives, advance societies, and sustain our planet for
this generation and the next.
